My name is Regina Rhea and I have been teaching in Desoto County for 26 years. I love my job, my students, and their families.

I am a proud Southaven High School Charger from the Class of 1980. I attended Northwest Community College and received an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I continued my education at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and received my Bachelors of Arts in Education and Masters of Science in Modern Languages with an emphasis in TESL. I am currently working on my Ed Leadership degree at Arkansas State University. Image result for SOuthaven High SchoolImage result for Ole Miss  Image result for Arkansas State

This is my 26th year to teach in Desoto County Schools.  I taught 20 years at Southaven Middle School where I taught 7th and 8th grade English, reading, math, and science followed up by computer technology.  I have been an EL teacher for 5 years and I have worked with middle and high school students all over Desoto County. This is my second year at HLIS and I love it!

I am a married mother of three children and a grandmother to 5 adorable granddaughters. I am the current president of the Mississippi EL Advocacy Council, a national trainer for NEA, and attend the First United Methodist Church in Southaven.
